Office culture seems more toxic than the service industry and requires more effort and mental exertion. I think you made the right choice by avoiding that environment.

I'm way happier doing what I'm doing now. I really hope I don't end up back in some awful office job, using Excel and fuckface PowerPoint again.

I sense the beginning of a union being organized! Today my boss made a visit to my school and brought me cookies. He is very nice but I still was relieved the moment he left. Im glad to hear a bit about the battle with pigeons, I was wondering about that. Watch out for those chemicals too, don't mix them or add bleach.

Everyone commenting doesn't like being around bosses. Ha! It's such an annoying situation, really, working for a company and having to be a good boy to a stranger who is watching you, an adult, to make sure you don't do anything silly.

I’m with you on the being around managers part. In part, I just hate the politics and games of office life so the less time spent there the better.

I'm extremely glad to receive this comment because I often wonder if I am being over-sensitive. It's heartening when someone else says they feel the same way!

I've long felt that human beings display behaviours in an office that would be seen as manipulative, provocative or even sociopathic in other situations, and find it rather creepy.
